Picture

we would like to introduce you to the joy of "SKATE fast - turn left"

Sydney Speed skating Club intends hosting future come and try sessions at Macquarie Ice Rink. These sessions are aimed primarily at those who want to give speed a try but current and former speedsters and skate-schoolers are also most welcome. Learn about speed skating technique, how we race and then give racing a try for yourself if you want to.

Thanks to the support of NSW Office of Sport , Sydney Speed Skating has support for at least one three come & try session in 2023 which will be free of charge to registered participants at Macquarie Ice Rink

Next Come and Try Session - dates to be advised

We welcome skaters of any age or ability and  at the end of your session our coaches can recommend a learning program thats right for you to continue with the sport.

You can skate on any skates - even hire skates - to get started. As you progress we can assist with loan of skates and/or guide you in making equipment purchases.

  • a chance to race! skaters will be grouped into appropriate levels for maximium safety - and fun!
